Complete control, from a single pane of glass.
At the heart of Macquarie Telecom SD-WAN is the Orchestrator: a dashboard that puts you in control of your network. You can see the status of your whole network on a single screen, or zoom in to see which applications are using the most bandwidth – and then restrict or prioritise them in realtime so YouTube streaming doesn’t hold back crucial business apps like video conferencing. And you don’t need an IT degree to do any of it.
Your eyes and ears.
The Orchestrator is your eyes and ears across your entire network. If a link’s gone down, it will alert you straight away – but not before instantly routing traffic over an alternate link so there’s no downtime. It shows you the traffic flow over each link at every site, and even gives them a realtime performance score.
If you need to change the priority of your apps, you can do it in right there in the Orchestrator, and the network will respond instantly.
Analysis, made easy.
The Macquarie Telecom Orchestrator gives you a clear view of everything you need to make traffic control decisions. It’s a simple graphical interface that takes a few minutes to learn – and yet it’s far more powerful than traditional reporting tools.
Single-click traffic control.
The Orchestrator lets you make choices about which traffic is important and which isn’t. If screen sharing or video conferences are more important to your business than social media, it only takes a click for the network to treat them that way. We’ve even set up app recognition for over 2,500 popular apps, to make prioritising them even easier.

What's up?
Your network. All the time.
High uptime + high performance. SD-WAN delivers.
Multi-Path.
SD-WAN takes a two or more standard internet links, like ASDL or NBN, and bonds them together to make a high-speed data pipe. It then breaks up data into tiny packets, sending each packet over the fastest link at the time, and stitching everything back together at the other end. It’s even smart enough to consider specific application requirements and business priorities when it’s choosing the right link for each data packet. With SD-WAN, your network doesn’t get in the way of productivity.
Forward error correction.
Forward error correction is a smart way of transmitting data that virtually eliminates packet loss. It means video calls that are less glitchy and VoiP calls that don’t drop or distort.
In tests on approximately six million anonymous data records, a traditional network had performance issues that impacted voice quality about 25% of the time. SD-WAN’s combination of packet steering and forward error correction reduced voice degradation to less than 1% of the time.
Dynamic application steering.
SD-WAN isn’t just a network. It’s a smart part of your business. It’s clever enough to recognise applications, and steer them to the optimal link – or combination of links – based on business priority, built-in knowledge of application network requirements, and real-time link performance and capacity metrics.
It can even move a session, such as a voice call, mid-stream to avoid link degradation, without any call drop or even voice quality glitch.
Deployment just got easier.
Deploy without delays.
Setting up a new Macquarie Telecom SD-WAN site is dead easy. Instead of on-site technicians and time-consuming command-line configurations, SD-WAN offers a simple piece of hardware – which we call the Edge – that can be unpackaged, installed and configured in minutes. No IT degree required.
When it comes time to deploy policies or updates, everything’s done remotely from the Orchestrator, and can be pushed down to a single site or right across the whole network.
Security.
Macquarie Telecom SD-WAN is dead serious about security.
If you’re a technical type, we’re here to tell you that we use standard IPSec site-to-site tunnels, encrypted using either AES-128 or AES-256 bit. All keys are protected by a built-in Certificate Authority process that automatically refreshes periodically – without any user intervention.
If that didn’t mean a thing to you, here’s the upshot: Macquarie Telecom SD-WAN is the most secure way to get your data from A to B.
