Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-LucentAlcatel-Lucent provides communications solutions to telecommunication carriers, Internet service providers and enterprises for delivery of voice, data and video applications for onsell to their customers. Alcatel-Lucent is able to leverage its leading position in fixed and mobile broadband networks, applications and services to bring value to its customers in the framework of a broadband world.

Alcatel-Lucent has a long history of innovation in Australia with links back to the first telephone exchange installed in New South Wales in 1882, and has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Avaya

AvayaAvaya's existence as a standalone company began Oct. 2, 2000, when spun off from Lucent Technologies and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AV. For more than a century prior to that day Ayaya were a part of Western Electric, ATT, and Lucent.

Avaya earned a reputation for creating high-performing, solidly reliable -- some would say "bullet-proof" -- enterprise communication solutions incorporating such products as deskset phones, office-building switches and switchboards, call-center systems, voice-mail software, cabling, and many others. Esteemed Bell Laboratories scientists won 1,600 pre-spinoff patents developing technology now under the Avaya banner.

Avaya's reputations for product quality and technological innovation are just as strong today, even as focus shifted to such areas as Internet Protocol telephony, wireless data communication, customer-relationship-management software and speech recognition technology.

Cisco

CiscoCisco Systems Inc. is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. The company was founded in 1984 by two computer scientists from Stanford University seeking an easier way to connect different types of computer systems.

Cisco Systems shipped its first product in 1986 and is now a multi-national corporation, with over 35,000 employees in more than 115 countries. Today, Cisco solutions are the networking foundations for service providers, small to medium business and enterprise customers which includes corporations, government agencies, utilities and educational institutions.

If anyone can lay claim to a 'heritage' in an industry as young as global networking, then it is Cisco. Not only does 85 per cent of Internet traffic travel across Cisco's systems, we also use the Internet to run our own business online, from product orders and inventory management through to staff communications and travel expenses.
