Improved mobile coverage in rural areas

Businesses which need to ensure employees have mobile coverage while working in Australia's rural areas can now enjoy exceptional coverage with the introduction of Macquarie Telecom's combined CDMA/GSM solution.

CDMA takes an entirely different approach. CDMA, after digitizing data, spreads it out over the entire available bandwidth. Multiple calls are overlaid on each other on the channel, with each assigned a unique sequence code. CDMA is a form of spread spectrum, which simply means that data is sent in small pieces over a number of the discrete frequencies available for use at any time in the specified range.

Not only does the new service offer comprehensive rural coverage but also provides complete management control via FleetView, our web based reporting and fleet management tool which puts you in control of your company mobiles. It automates the reporting, billing and inventory management in ‘real time' and allows you to control handset usage.

Many businesses have at least a small requirement for CDMA coverage, whether for staff travelling to rural destinations on customer or supplier visits or visiting the company's rural offices.

Simplified billing

Including the Macquarie Telecom CDMA/GSM solution into the company's mobile offering will ensure contact with the city office is easily maintained. As with all our communications solutions, administration is simplified by a single bill and one point of contact.

CDMA typically performs better over the long flat terrain of the Australian countryside. It provides better call quality with more consistent and improved sound over the GSM network and is less congested; decreasing the likelihood of not being able to get through to the person you are calling.
