data connection to your Private IP VPN network utilizing the 3G Mobile Data
network. The Mobile Redundant Router products utilizes a Private APN and secure
connection over the Mobile network that can be used to provide a dynamic Mobile
backup and or alternative to fixed network access technologies. Macquarie
Telecom’s Mobile Data partnership with Vodafone ensures excellent speeds and
coverage to 94% (by September 2009) of the Australian
population covered with 3G technologies. Mobile Redundant Router is a service that enables continual connectivity into
your data network over the mobile phone network. This enables customers to feel
secure knowing that redundancy solution is in place for critical applications.
 About Mobile Redundant Routers
The Macquarie Telecom Mobile Redundant Router product use the 3G (UMTS) and 2G
(GPRS) networks to provide a secure private connection from a mobile router back
to the fixed WAN network. As a pre-requisite the customers are be required to
have a Macquarie Telecom Private IP Network.
- Back-up data redundancy for critical data applications from small customer
sites (1-5 concurrent users) on the primary link.
- Secure wireless connection to customer Private IP data network and
applications through mobile packet switched network (GPRS and UMTS)
