Industry Veteran to Lead Voice and Data Expansion in Asia Pacific

June 12, 2007, Singapore: Macquarie Telecom, a leading supplier of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions today announced the appointment of Larry Morgan as the new Managing Director.

Based out of Singapore, Larry will be responsible for spearheading the company’s overall operations and strategic direction. Larry comes with more than 25 years of experience in the global telecommunications services industry, where he took on executive positions within multinationals and led highly successful corporate expansion initiatives across the U.S., Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Larry is no stranger to Singapore as he was based here as Vice President and General Manager of BT Infonet’s Asia-Pacific region for more than four years, where he managed 14 countries and achieved more than 400% revenue growth over a four-year period.

Prior to joining Macquarie Telecom, Larry served as President/CEO and was also a member of the Board of Directors with Virtela Communications, an award-winning Global Virtual Network Operator recognised by Deloitte & Touche as one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America.

Speaking on Larry’s appointment, David Tudehope, Chief Executive Officer, Macquarie Telecom shared, “Larry is an accomplished veteran in our line of business and his vast global experience in sales and marketing management will be a significant benefit as we expand throughout the region over the next few years. I am confident that he will drive the company to the next level with his strong customer focus, outstanding leadership abilities and unrivalled passion for the business.”

Before joining Infonet, Larry held several senior management positions in Sprint and AT&T after forging a distinguished career in sales with IBM. Larry has also won many industry awards including the coveted “Best in Class” Telemark Award, the Datacomm “Hot Products” and Interop Achievement Awards.
