Enterprise-class email solution for medium businesses

Sydney, Australia – 22nd February 2007 – Macquarie Hosting, a division of Macquarie Telecom, today launched its Dedicated Managed Exchange hosting solution.

Macquarie Hosting’s Dedicated Managed Exchange is suitable for medium businesses, enterprise or government organisations with more than one hundred email boxes that have critical email and mobile communication requirements.

The offering addresses a range of business requirements including:

  • Dedicated Email Service: This is a completely dedicated email service. Each customer is provided with their own dedicated managed infrastructure to ensure flexibility, security and control
  • Workforce Mobility: Businesses can access all the mobility features of Microsoft Exchange to enable corporate email access via supported mobile devices including PDAs, notebooks and BlackBerry devices
  • 24 x 7 Monitoring and Support: because key services frees up the IT department combined with around the clock monitoring and engineering support
  • Reduced Email Downtime: Proactive management of each email environments ensures optimum performance at all times

Delivered out of Macquarie Hosting’s highly accredited data centre, the Intellicentre, the company’s Managed Exchange solution is a complete Software-as-a-Service (or on demand) offering.

For businesses, this means there is no installation or hardware investment, no complex integration and no upgrades. User management is delegated so businesses have complete control over adding and removing users from their email systems.

The service leverages a fully redundant and clustered backup solution and a team of 24x7 support engineers as well as a dedicated system administrators to ensure high-availability and redundancy.

  • AS/NZS 7799 – widely regarded as the benchmark in information security
  • DSD Gateway – a federal government standard which offers assurance that Macquarie Telecom’s internet gateway provides protection from external threats appropriate for systems and data up to and including the "Highly Protected" level of classification
