Macquarie Hosting continues momentum under leadership of Aidan Tudehope

Macquarie Telecom's co-founder appointed to MD of hosting business

Sydney, Australia – 25th January 2007 – Macquarie Telecom, today announced company co-founder and director, Aidan Tudehope has been appointed to the role of Managing Director, Hosting.

Mr Tudehope was previously Chief Operating Officer of Macquarie Telecom where he played an integral part in the strategy and direction of Macquarie Hosting since its state-of-art data centre, the Intellicentre opened in 2001.

Mr Tudehope’s appointment comes on the back of another year of exceptional growth for Macquarie Hosting which saw the business sign major new contracts with customers including: NRMA Motoring & Services, Queensland Rail, Fairfax Business Media and Haymarket Media. Macquarie Hosting also hosted the largest online float in Australia, T3.

“During the past twelve months Macquarie Hosting has grown at twice the rate of the local complex managed hosting industry,” said Mr Tudehope.

“The convergence of mobile data, voice to VoIP and the boom in online content and services have boosted the demand for scaleable secure complex managed hosting.”

The previous Executive, Greg Thomson has been appointed to the newly created position of Commercial Director, Macquarie Telecom.
