Business and government to save up to 30 per cent on mobile costs
Sydney, AUSTRALIA – 31st March 2005
– Business and Government customers can save up to 30 per cent on their
intra-company mobile call costs following a new package launched by
Macquarie Telecom today.
Under the new ‘Your Call' package, customers will pay nothing for calls
up to five minutes whenever they call mobile to mobile, or mobile to fixed
on the Macquarie Telecom network*. For only $5 per user per month, the
package includes Macquarie Telecom's unique Fleet Management tool,
FleetView, plus free voicemail and no flagfalls.
Short calls offer big opportunity for savings
Typically up to 30 per cent of a company's mobile telecommunications
costs are made up of short calls between its own employees – and this
figure is growing. It is these short calls that offer a big opportunity
for savings.
According to Denis Rowe, National Marketing Manager, Macquarie Telecom,
“By consolidating their mobile fleet and fixed line needs with one
provider, business and government can reduce their telecommunications
spend, simplify their budgeting and facilitate internal communication.”
This will particularly benefit organisations with on the go employees
that rely on their mobile to communicate with one another.
The ‘Your Call' package features Macquarie Telecom's FleetView solution
that can track call volume and trends, report on usage patterns and allow
business and government to take action to prevent unnecessary calls before
they are made.
The package is available to new and existing customers that take up a
bundled Macquarie Telecom voice and mobile solution. Calls will be free
for the first five minutes whenever customers call mobile to mobile, or
mobile to fixed on the Macquarie Telecom network. Standard rates apply
after five minutes.
* Conditions apply. Offers excludes
diverted calls, international calls, roaming calls, satellite mobile calls
and calls to 13, 1300 or 1900 services. GST excluded. Calls that last for
longer than 5 minutes are charged at Macquarie Telecom standard call
rates. Package is available from 31st March 2005 until 30th June 2005.
