Regarded as the industry benchmark in information security,
this certification verifies that your data services are
secure.

Macquarie Telecom is first and only Australian carrier
and hosting provider certified to ISO 27001 international
security standard.
Assurance is attained through 135 controls which cover
all aspects of information security from physical access
to network device control, password management, virus impact
mitigation processes and managing security risks.
ISO 27001 is a rigorous standard to achieve and maintain.
In addition to a two-stage certification process, it requires
six monthly external audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
The senior management at the certified body then need to
sign against the level of risk identified in the audit process.
ISO 27001 is based upon and replaces country specific
security standards British Standard BS 7799 and Australia
and New Zealand standard AS/NZS 7799. Macquarie Hosting
has been accredited to both these standards BS 7799 and
AS/NZS 7799.

Macquarie Telecom's DSD certified gateway solutions include
"Highly Protected", "Protected", "In-Confidence" and "Restricted"
Gateway products bundled with other security, hosting and
data solutions.

This security certification assures you that the data
centre gateway provides protection from external threats
appropriate for systems and data up to and including the
“Highly Protected” and "Restricted" level of classification.
This certification is a prerequisite to providing secure
gateway services to Commonwealth and Agencies using FedLink,
a secure VPN service, administered by the National Office
for the Information Economy (NOIE).
This certification conforms with ASCI-33 and the PSM
