internet traffic - separation of public
vs private VPN traffic routing to
avoid hacking attack
- MD5 authentication employed on CE-PE link
– prevention of unauthorised access to the MPLS network
- Core network routing protocol secured
through neighbour MD5 authentication and maximum routes to prevent attacks
such as label packets injection.
- MPLS security mechanism enables secure
logical separation of VPN Traffic.

- MPLS core routers and switches are housed
in secure data centres / premises
