  • What are your lead times?

Our lead times comply with industry best practice and are dependent on the access type chosen, the geographic location of your sites and your solution design. In some cases these may also be subject to capacity checks and feasibility studies. Given this information your account team can provide you with lead times for your chosen solution to be implemented at each site.

  • What are Macquarie Telecom's best features?

We are able to provide you with a highly reliable solution that is more closely tailored to your specific needs than you are likely to be able to get with standardised solutions from other providers.

  • What are your service deliverables?

We use a PRINCE –2 aligned project methodology for delivery of major customer projects with agreed milestones, budget and timeframes. We offer specific and measurable service level guarantees that are backed up with penalties for non-performance.

  • What differentiates Macquarie Telecom's data network?

Our Independence and flexibility means we can design a solution that's better suited to purpose. We can draw on our own core network and our own next generation access technology as well as the best that the wholesale market has to offer through our multi-carrier access model approach. You are not restricted to single vendors or legacy connection methods.

Once your network is signed off and handed over to you by our project management team, ongoing support for trouble-shooting and fault resolution is available through direct access to our Tier1 and Tier2 Engineers so you can be sure that intelligent help is there if you should need it.

  • What is your pop-to-pop latency?

We are able to provide our customers with a matrix of Core and POP-POP latency performance on a full end-to-end basis. Full online reporting capability is provided as standard for our Manager Private IP Quality of Service Customers.

  • What are my access options?

Unlike other providers with proprietary networks, we can offer you a better choice of access options since we can draw on both our own next generation network access infrastructure and the best available wholesale access services -whether they are based on copper, fibre or wireless technologies.

  • How can we sustain data and integrity and cut costs?

We help you achieve this by ensuring that the services and equipment we use to deliver your solution remains at the forefront of technology so that we can continue to offer you both competitive price/performance and the best possible value.

Additional higher order reporting such as latency, jitter and packet loss is available on a per class basis for customers with Private IP Quality of Service. Application based reporting is available for Bandwidth Manager customers. Customers with managed services are also provided with comprehensive router performance reporting.

  • What network redundancy will I get?

Core network redundancy based on diverse carrier paths and bearers with carrier grade switching equipment is provided as standard. Access diversity is provided based on customer requirements at each site and can be addressed as part of your solution design.

  • Can you provide a managed service?

Yes, our Managed Network Service allows you to “out-task” part of your network management to us. Three levels are available ranging from standard Fault Management and a Fully Managed service through to a customised solution.
