Mantraps, access-card, biometric scanning, and round-the-clock interior and exterior surveillance monitors protect access to the Data Centre. Data Centre power is supplied via redundant power components to guarantee continuous power availability. In-building dedicated power sub-station, uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS), battery backup and multiple diesel-powered generators provide the necessary power during utility interruptions, such as weather-related events or transmission system failures.
Monitoring of all mechanical, electrical and other critical systems ensures high availability and timely response to events. Early decision of controls such as temperature and humidity further enhances our delivery.
Under floor, in-rack cooling is provided via N+1 Liebert Precision Cooling units, with redundant cooling pumps, supported by dual cooling towers and heat exchangers. This ensures the cool air is channelled into the racks (not the room) where it belongs – reducing cooling energy consumption and ensuring optimal operating temperatures for your equipment
Fire Detection and suppression mechanisms, both above and below floor, are in place using VESDA, FM200 fire suppression technology and dry pipes deployed throughout the data centre.
Macquarie Telecom's high-speed Tier 1 Backbone Internet connection provides you with significant advantages in speed and throughput, delivering the highest quality bandwidth. Private networks are also available.
The architecture provides redundant and diverse Internet connectivity, protecting against fibre cuts and router outages. Customers can also select alternate providers routed to the Data Centre.
